Writers Victoria's Bold and Brilliant IDPWD Showcase

I am thrilled to be a part of Writers Victoria’s Bold and Brilliant: Disabled and Deaf Writers showcase, alongside Alex Creece, Jessica Walton, and Carly Findlay this coming IDPWD!

We will be reading some of our work, and taking part in a Q&A panel afterwards. It’s going to be a lovely time!

Floodlight Viscera Podcast Now Available!

Hello friends!

Floodlight Viscera, my monthly poetry mini zine about feelings, is now available to you in podcast form!  Minimally edited, minimally rehearsed, FLV is my raw feelings straight from my heart to yours.  If you need transcripts, the pdf version of the zine can be found for free via floodlightviscera.com (and you can buy a physical copy for $1, if you like).

Listen:

Queer Out Here!

Queer Out Here is a new audio zine, about queers and queerness and the great outdoors.  It's a beautiful and incredibly varied selection of pieces, from all kinds of queer people from all over the world, in all different types of the outdoors.

I have a short piece in Issue One - an excerpt that I read from my own little zine, Floodlight Viscera issue 12.  I have added sound to it to support the poetry in a new way, to bring it new dimension.

Queer Out Here is completely free for you to listen to - check out issue one now!

New Audio!

With another amazing Midsumma done and dusted, once again I've come to make sure that if you were unable to come to a show, you can still hear my spoken word!

Head on over to the updated spoken word audio page for audio and transcripts of the two pieces I performed at Midsumma this month, as well as many pieces from years before!

Midsumma Shows!

It's the best time of year!

I'm performing at two shows this Midsumma festival, both at the wonderful Hares and Hyenas in Fitzroy!

The first is THE BIG TIMES, Lisa Skye's spoken word event of the year.  7:30pm on the 17th of January, and you can buy tickets over here on the Midsumma site.

The second is QUIPPINGS: NOT NORMCORE, my beloved Midsumma home with my beautiful fellow disabled artists.  8pm on the 27th of January, and you can buy tix over here on the Midsumma site.

Both shows often sell out on pre bookings, so get in while you can, and I hope to see you there!

The Malthouse!!

Well friends, exciting news today - I, as part of Quippings, will be performing at the Malthouse Theatre on June 15, as part of the Emerging Writers Festival!  Quippings is taking on LOVE, and we're gonna throw ourselves into it with as much passion as we possibly can!

You can get all the details and buy tickets over on the EWF's website.  It's going to be an amazing night and I really hope you come along!

Pride March 2017!

Going to Pride March?  I know I am!  Hopefully I'll be well enough to be marching with Vic Leather.

I am also very honoured to say that I've been asked to give a one minute address during the festivities after the march.  The One Minute Addresses start at around 4:30pm, in Catani Gardens.  If you are coming along to Pride March, I hope to see you there!

Midsumma Shows!

The best time of year for queer performance is coming! I am doing two shows at Midsumma 2017, and I really hope you are able to come along to them! The first is "I Hate Myself for Loving You", a spoken word night about attraction and repulsion (oh yeah, it's gonna be good), and the second is of course QUIPPINGS! Quippings is going to "Back to Our Roots" in Feb 2017, with repeat performances of previous artists and works from six years of Quippings. Both shows will have Auslan interpretation, and both are going to be really good nights. So please, check out the details on my upcoming appearances page, and I hope to see you during Midsumma!

Spoken Word Audio Now Available!

Hello friends!  I am very happy to let you know that I now have two recordings of my spoken word available for you to listen to on my website, and I will be adding to these over the comings months.  So if you've been unable to come hear me read in person, you can at least have me in your speakers!

Head on over to the Spoken Word Audio page to give them a listen!

Quippings CRIPTOPIA, September 2016!

Hello friends!  I will be making an appearance at Quippings CRIPTOPIA in September!  I'll be doing all four shows, so you can come to any of them and be sure you'll see me!

CRIPTOPIA is the Quippings crew asking, what does our perfect world look like?  What does paradise mean for us?  Our shows are always a celebration of diversity and difference from a disabled perspective, and this will be no exception.

I will not be doing a full piece, but rather a couple of shortened pieces, as well as some decorative rope bondage before the show.  You may not recognize me at first...!  I have quite the costume ready!

You can buy tickets to Quippings Criptopia here, and you can check out the facebook event for the shows here!  All tickets are $15.  I hope to see you there!
